Edit Changed East to West

Wind guru and wind finder are showing due West starting on the 23rd. I know it is still week away, but something to keep an eye on.

Windfinder in map view shows a cyclone for Friday in Gulf of Mexico.

Windfinder - wind, wave & weather reports, forecasts & statistics worldwide

Wind guru also shows due West wind starting Friday.

Windfinder shows West winds thru Sun the 26th

Windfinder.com - Wind and weather forecast Cozumel / Country Club

Hoping for some steering winds or windsheer.

Usually east winds don't close the port. Am I missing something here?

Opps I ment the other direction due West. I corrected Post.

Still a long ways out. I find trackthetropics.com out of New Orleans to be a pretty good storm resource

I think perhaps something with more impact on Cozumel weather will be the strong cold front due here in Austin around midday tomorrow. If it gets to Cozumel it will likely be there by Sunday Night or Monday Morning.

To me it looks like a mild Norte on Sunday only. Source: Windguru.com

The El Norte hit DFW this morning with 30 MPH gusts and looks to hit south Texas tonight. Hopefully it will slow down over the holiday in Cozumel. Think positive

Not yet in Houston but picking up.

It's forecast to hit here noonish.
