Welcome to the board. I don't have any specific information on Palm Studios or Blue Divers, come to think of it, never heard of Blue Divers. You might want to come over to the Bonaire board and ask there. I am sure some one there knows something about them. www.bonairetalk.com

As for Bonaire in general here are a few things:

Drink lots of water, which by the way is safe to drink from the tap, you will dyhydrate pretty quickly

The Guilder is the local currency and is worth $0.56 or 2 Guildes are about $1.10, I use $0.50 to the Guilder as a rough guide. Bills greater that $20s are sometimes hard to spend except at larger restaurants, so avoid big bills. You can use your ATM card at several banks on the island and get your choice of Guilders or USD. I have started using this option and getting Guilders.

Try a search on this board, myself as well as others have posted a lot of good tips over the years.

Herman,

I saw this place on our last trip. It is located behind the car dealership and furniture shop if you are on the main road heading from the airport to town. If you turn down Jennies (where the dolls are outside the lady's house) I think you can get to it that way. We really don't know that much about it. From what we could see it looks nice. Very small, but nice. I think they must be pretty new. Good Luck! Oh and if you haven't heard, Bonbini divers is relocating so they have shut down until they find a new location. We will now be using Buddy Dive as our primary dive operation!

Thanks Liz, looks like my decision to use BD was a good one. On island in 8 days, can't wait.

I'm jealous...in 6 days I'll be in an operating room having my skull cut open! I WISH I WAS GOING TO BONAIRE!!!! As long as things go well I will be at the end of the month. Just to let you know, Ed built a palm frond covered gazebo area for the BBQ grills and we are going to be getting a small, but nice built in pool put in, hopefully starting in January. We've only been in business 4 months, but we are doing well. I figure that once the BBQ area is done and the pool is in we will be booming! I am currently working with Gibi to arrange a BBQ night at the Inn. I'm going to try for a Thursday night...TRADITIONAL BONAIREAN BBQ by the best Bonairean Chef around..Gibi. This should all be in place no later than March. You guys will have to come back and stay with us again! Hugs!
