put a goalkeeper on it, it can double as propulsion if the engine fails...
But seriously, why? harbor patrol or something?
 
Given the pilot position, length, width, hull design...
That looks like it would be a pretty wild ride on anything other than glass smooth water.
Top speed in the single digits. But if you needed to push a cattle barge off your favorite site I bet it has the power to get it out of your way.
That has to be the smallest tug boat I think I have ever seen.

It is a boomboat. The Navy probably uses it to deploy oil containment booms. Loggers have used this type of vessel to build and manage log booms.

hat one in the video has to be twice the one pictured above.

As a former professional mariner, tugboat captain, and occasional boomboat operator, I will take the small tug pictured in the OP's post any day for deploying oil containment booms. YMMV.
