I have two Sola 2500 lights that aren't charging properly. I know the charger is being detected by the light because when I plug them in I get the series of red blinking lights that indicate the light is charging. Only issue is that the lights aren't charging. I plugged one in overnight after a dive when the lights were orange and when I woke up the next day the lights were red indicating it had lost charge. The other light just stayed red the entire time. I've done all the recommended fixes for charging issues including cleaning ports, checking for hibernation mode, and even disconnecting and reconnecting the battery but none have had any success. I've seen some talk online of others with this issue but no conclusive answers that have worked for me. Does anyone have any suggestions for fixes or at least a diagnosis?

I had the same problem. What happened was that after a few years, the connection between the Sola and the plug became loose, probably due to the effects of corrosion. Is your connection loose or tight?

The least bit of corrosion will look like this. The LEDs will blink somehow the light recognizes the charger is connected but it will not charge, the battery is dead and it looks broken. Cleaning the contacts, especially the prons on the charger side should fix this. Try to keep the charger dongle away from salt water its very succeptable to corrosion. Also sometimes the light gets locked up and won't charge and the flashing red LED is happening. For this, after cleaning your contacts with a wire brush, quickly plug and unplung the light from the charging dongle, this will prompt a reset.
