'Just bought a Sola 1200 & will be traveling from US to London then Egypt. From what I understand, this must be transported as carry-on due to the enclosed battery. Since this is factory sealed, should I be concerned about TSA agents wanting to take this thing apart? I've wondering why the manual has under "Airline Secuitiy Only" how to disassemble it, yet under the warranty section, it specifically says warranty is void if it IS disassembled.

I have a Sola 600 and have had no problem carrying it on.

We have both carried these on and taken them in checked luggage (and TSA inspected the checked bag) with no issues. I think this is a case of too many lawyers.

Thanks for instilling confidence there should be no problems. I did go ahead & print off a PDF f/ L & M's website, specifying the light meets all domestic & international rules regarding battery operated devices on planes, & plan to carry it with me.

MN,

I have carried both the Sola 1200 & a 500 on for international flights out of MSP. I have had TSA look and turn them on, but other than that no issues.

Make sure to let the agent know not to shine the 1200 in their face when they turn the light on. She wasn't too happy.
