What software packages are available to create slideshows to my music(one package i've seen you can only use their music selections) and upload able to upload to the net.

I have had good luck with Proshow. It's $30 if you download it from their web site. You can down load a trial version and test drive it for free. The trial version is fully functional but places a banner across your photos until you buy it. If you decide to buy it, you give them your credit card over the web and within a few minutes they email you a code that removes the banners.

I've used Xatshow for some of mine with good results, but just recently switched to Proshow also. It seems to have more functionality, but is a little flaky at times. Otherwise, it's been good all around.

I have not tried the gold version but here is a link that shows the differences. As you can down load both free and test both, that may the best answer to your question. It looks like there is a lot of DVD stuff added that I don't need anyway.

i ended up downloading both last night and they seem like the same thing i made a show in both uploaded music and created executables and they both look the same i think i'll by the standard. I really dont use anything for dvds right now.

Thanks for everyones opinions.

Pic2Exe is my favorite.
dee do they allow you to upload your shows to a site with that software? i am looking for something that i can make a slide show, and upload it so others can view, without having to have my "own" website. Phodex allows you to do it and i tried their eval software and uploaded it and knowone can watch it from their site.

You mean give you webspace for your show? No. Everyone I've seen has been hosted on people own sites. I don't have a personal site, just the business, so mine are just for personal use.

Scubaaaronh,

I recomment Roxio Media Creator, Not very expensive (on Ebay) and does all sorts of things. I just built a slideshow on DVD with neat transitions between slides and music. Throw it in the DVD player and watch the show. Definately looks better on a plasma tv than my old one, but still cool.
