I just received 2 Fotocore GTM strobes ($450 each from BlueWater) and took them diving Saturday at Palos Verdes. Cool water (52F,11C) and crummy vis but lots of stuff to shoot. Here is a nice little Balanophyllia elegans, a stony cup coral. Interestingly it is one of a very few creatures that can use dissolved carbon to eat. In the winter when plankton are few and far between, these guys can eat by removing dissolved carbon directly.

As always, OM-1,AOI, Leica 45 macro and this time 2x Fotocore GTM strobes.
