A few months ago, I posted several photos that I took while snorkeling. I've put a few more on-line, so I thought I would post some of additional ones here.

My flickr site is here: Flickr: Hawkfish's Photostream

Octopus in Destin Florida (northern Florida in the Florida Panhandle; just took this a few weeks ago when I was in Destin for Thanksgiving):

Grunts in Cozumel Mexico taken in March 2005 pre-Hurricane Wilma (most of the shallow-water habitat was destroyed by the hurricane and is only slowly starting to recover):

Cozumel fish, March 2005. Mexican snorkel guides were feeding fish here, which explains the unnatural aggregation. It did make for a good photo op, however:

George, Photos 1 and 5 were taken with a Canon A630 point-and-shoot, and photos 2-4 were taken with my first digital camera, a Canon S30 (3 mgp). The newer camera (it's actually about 2.5 years old now) definitely takes better pictures with increased ability to crop, but I still got some reasonably good pics (for me) with the older one. I do simple post-processing on all my pics, but nothing complicated or fancy. Auto levels in Photo Elements usually does a lot to add color to snorkeling photos.
