Hi folks,

Forum newbie here. I'm living in Brisbane (Queensland, Australia) and am headed off for a long weekend of snorkeling around Moreton Island in 2 weeks. I'm going to snorkel around Tangalooma Wrecks but wondered if any had any other tips for snorkeling spots around Moreton Island?

Cheers!

Dows,
I don't have any knowledge to share of snorkeling round Moreton Island but there are a couple of groups you could connect with who should have good info on there and other areas in SE Queensland.

"UniDive Gauls - The Underwater Rugby Team of the University of Queensland" - search for that on facebook and you will find the FB group. They are a good, active group that I have played underwater rugby with when visiting Brisbane for work and played against them in a comp in Sydney late last year. They have UQ trips out to Moreton Island at times.

Also, look for Brisbane Freedivers - some of the Gauls UWR players are also into freediving. If you are thinking of a freedive course then check out Apnea Australia. Lewis Jones is one of their instructors (and a kiwi) - he is a good guy.
