Any decent snorkeling from shore in and around Key West or any recommended off shore excursions?
We are flying into Key West and not renting a car, so looking for recommendations in close to Key West.

Thanks,
Tim

Few years ago while in Key west I took a snorkeling charter. Went out and snorkeled around a small sand island. Was pleasant. Clear water. Saw a small hammerhead. On way back saw a big ray jump. Nice day on the water. Do not remember it as spectacular.

........I meant NO....just trying to be polite

I have been to Key West a great many times. I believe it is like most of the rest of the islands - to see anything worthwhile you have get on a boat and travel out to barrier reefs. Although, when I lived in Keys I would often snorkel off shore just to see little fishes, etc,. Not spectacular, but relaxing.
