Hi guys.
I would like to buy my first DPV but wanna start with small one. Price range around 4000-5000. So I found Seacraft Go! and Divetug Tek36 compact. And i’d like to mount my nauticam housing on it, so not sure Is it too small for that.

Could anyone please suggest me what to choose which one is better? Or if you have others brand please advise me too.

Thank you so much in advance 🙏🏼🙏🏼

The Seacraft is a much better DPV.
Another vote for this.

If you can find one in stock get the Seacraft!! They are amazing scooters for the price. There is a reason why they are selling off the shelf's like hot cakes.

Seeing as you’re not US based you have lots of options to choose from. My biggest recommendation that I give to everyone is. See what the other people around you are diving and get their honest thoughts and opinions on them. I’m not talking about the guy that bought 1 scooter and thinks it’s slicker than sliced bread. I’m talking about the pros and the real divers around you that you want to interface with. There’s nothing worse than being the only guy on the boat with a foreign unit that nobody knows how to use or service.

With that out of the way, the GO is an excellent unit for that price point but if you are trying to keep up with the big dogs especially dragging around a big camera rig, you may want to look at a bigger unit.

A small unit with a big rig sounds like it would make sense but the extra drag and other factors make it a little more unmanageable than a larger unit both above and below the water.

I just had a look at the Divertug website. This is the first time I've really looked into Divertug scooters.

They have quite a range of scooters, with some pretty good-looking specs.

What makes the Go! "much better" than a Tek36 Compact or a Tek42?

If I am not mistaken, Go! does not have a shaft. Other than that, they look comparable. FYI, I've been looking at DT for some time, but their absence in the US market was a deal breaker for me.
