Is there anything I can do to speed up the forum, it seems slower now and I'm on a cable connection. The poor dewds on cable..............

Sure, send us over another server and that will speed things up ;)

ScubaBoard is a big site with a lot of traffic and thus a lot of resource usage which in turn costs a lot of money. We do have plans for a hardware upgrade in the near future (moving from one machine to two bigger machines) but that is at least a month away. For the most part the board should run pretty fast with slow downs during peak usage but never past that "too slow" point.

Have you thought about a backplate and wings?

Seriously considering it, I need more speed..............

One thought is where is the hosting company located? If it is anywhere near where Ivan is/was? Maybe some fiber had to be re-routed. MCI and ATT may be playing chess trying to keep the fiber networks operating while damaged cable is repaired.

Our data center is not located near Florida, HOWEVER, Florida is a major network carrier so it is very possible that some people's load issues are a result of routing issues.
