Well, I finally did it...I talked my wife into getting on this ride....It was a blast...After she calmed down..she loved it. If any of you have been on this ride or seen it...what did you think..? This one is currently located at the State Fair of Texas. It used to be done w/ bungee chords, but this one looks like it is done w/ springs and cables. They hook you into a seat w/ padded bars over your shoulders. Tilt you back, so you are facing the sky....then count down....and launch you 300 ft into the air...(still hooked to cables of course) They say it reaches 90mph and pulls 5 Gs...It was the second great ride I have had on the sling shot...If you get the chance you should try it...Next up "Nothing But Net"...

I was in Dallas this past weekend. Went to six flags.
We passed by the fair and saw that "nothing but net" ride. And I was wondering what the heck is it? I couldn't tell if it was a bungee jump type of thing or what.
Oh, have you rode the Titan at six flags? That was ridiculously scary. That sucker was tall!

No, I haven't been back to six flags since the ride was built. It looks like fun. The nothing but net..has no cables / bungees...they put you in a special harness and hook you to the bottom of a basket...they lift you a little over 100 ft...the two nets follow you up, but they stop at about 40 ft.....they count down, then drop you into the net back first.....Its not that far of a drop, but w/ your back to the ground..you cant see the net..so, that is what makes it freaky....

PhreefalN once bubbled...
They say it reaches 90mph and pulls 5 Gs..
