Another current thread I will not mention brings up wearing various lycra/nylon "skins" under a wet suit. I have a couple of different skins which I got for when jelly fishes are rampant. I keep hearing how they can be worn under a wet suit instead of this or that or that or this garment and whatever bizzare thoughts on correct swimwear should be.

OK, here is the thing, I have tried getting into my 3/2 Body Glove, my 5/4 Bare and my 1/4 inch vintage sharkskin over a skin and there is simply no way. It is not going to happen. The suits stick to the skin and it is a huge fuss and fight trying to get the suit on over the skin as a result. These suits fit me fine and work well in the water and are basic suits like most divers would wear. Now, my buddy has a wetsuit which to my opinion is to large and he is able to get it on over a skin.

Anyways, I thought it a clever idea to wear a skin under a wetsuit until I actually began trying to do it. So, what wetsuits are people actually wearing over what type of skin?

Waterproof 3 mm or Akona 3mm over Henderson Lycra skin.
Just glides on and makes it a bit easier to get the suit off.
Didn't bother the last trip though and didn't miss it too much, but did notice it was a bit harder getting the suit off.
