Aloha Divers,

If any of you are interested in working on an artificial reef program...please read on. Capt. Jeff (of Wikoliana Educational Excursions) is preparing a ship for dropping as an artificial reef. He is looking for volunteers to assist. The goal is to create a new and exciting shipwreck dive site and animal habitat.

Work day on the Car Ferry will be March 21 (sat) - Please email at sinktheferry@gmail.com (this email is only for the work day)

Interested volunteers are welcome to meet at the Marisco yard in Kapolei (91-607 Malakole St, Kapolei, HI 96707) SATURDAY AT 9:45 AM.

Here are some tips:

Wear long pants, long sleeves and closed toed shoes. Slippers are NOT a good idea........ Bring your own work gloves if you have them. Bring plenty of drinking WATER! Think of others who may not be prepared and if you have extra gloves, dust masks, work buckets, light tools (wire brushes, sanders, grinders) these can all be helpful.

More info can be found on their facebook page - Wikoliana Educational Excursions

All other questions, please contact Jeff Landsdown at wikoliana@gmail.com. Please share with your friends. The more the merrier. This is a great opportunity to see the before and after of an artificial reef.

UPDATE:

The Moko Holo Hele has a facebook page. Search: "Wikoliana Artificial Reef and Dive Site Project" Please like us :D

This will be the place to learn about updates on the artificial reef, progress, pictures, and work days to get her ready to be Hawaii's newest artificial reef.
