Hi, going to for a holiday in Singapore, Never been diving there, anyone know of good dive centres in Singapore?

Guess making a wkend trip to the nearby Malaysia will be a wiser choice...the only place to dive in Singapore is Pulau Hantu, where vis is usually less than a metre, the best vis I've esperienced is abt 5m but u only get that once in a blue moon!

Though the viz in Singapore waters is horrible, the marine life is surprisingly abundant and varied.

P. Hantu and P. Sudong are places where on a good day the viz is 3 ft. However, if you look closely, you'll find sea-horses, different kinds of cow-fish, puffers, etc. It's a lot of macro stuff, if you are thinking of finding sharks, barracudas, huge potato cods, whales(??), you'll most probably not see them there. (doesn't mean they don't exist here) There are reported sightings of bullsharks though... have never seen it myself.

Most people who are trained in good viz waters don't dare to dive in Singapore waters because of the horrible viz. But little do they know about the wonderful marine life living down there.
