I absolutely love Futurama! It's written by the same people who do the Simpsons, and the music is done by my favorite - Danny Elfman..... but unfortunately it was never really promoted, and was cancelled. Fortunately, the reruns have been picked up by Cartoon Network, and you can see them late at night.

Anybody else?

~for those of you you get it, my boyfriend went to Barbados on business recently, and on camera he got one of the local people that he was working with to say "my manwich" (me monweech as Hermes would say it).... I laugh my bhind off every time I see it~

Yeah its pretty good, i also like the family guy and king of the hill..i dont know who theyre produced by..simpsons will always be the standard though, homer is so cute & funny :)

I never took to Futurama. It can be good but I find it patchy. I think my expectations were too high and I was hoping for something as sharp and witty as the Simpsons given it is from the same stable. It has some clever lines but to my mind it is nowhere near the Simpsons.

i love futurama. i didn't know it got cancelled, just thought it was slow comin to switzerland, so we've just been getting reruns.

Love Futurama, it's darned funny. One of my favourite quotes is when Bender and Fry are working in the engine room and Leela is communicating with them by the vidoe screen:

Leela: Hurry! I don't want to die at the age of 25.
Bender: Honey, unless we hit a time warp I wouldn't worry about that. :)

That's awesome. Yeah, I love Futurama it's he-larious. Bill Odenkirk is one of the writers and he's soooooo funny. He also wrote for his brother's short lived HBO series, "Mr. Show" which is the funniest series ever concieved!!!!
One of my favorite things about Futurama is that propper English has evolved to include words like "let me ax you a question" and "I'm going to the Libary" and that Dick Nixon is a moniacale prez.

Oh I knew I wasn't alone!!

I never had the opportunity to see "Mr. Show" (I'm in Alaska, we just got cable last week), but Mr. Seak says it was one of the funniest and most well written shows he's ever seen.

drat - I missed out yet again. Well,......back to my lovenasium to spend the evening..... lol..

All 4 seasons of Mr. Show are now on DVD. Season 3 & 4 are the funniest, but 1 & 2 (which come together) are definitely worth getting. Also on DVD, The complete works of Tenacious D. This is Jack Black's band and the little known 3 episode (2 skits per episode) HBO series they had, which was a spinoff from Mr. Show (which Jack Black guest stared in occasionally). I HIGHLY recommend checking it all out.

Oh buuuh-lieve me.... I've heard the complete works of Tenacious D a few too many times! Mr. Seak brought it over to Australia with him, and by the end of the trip I was so sick of hearing he & his friend saying " that's f***king teamwork"! lol
