When coming to Thailand and diving on the west coast, the options for liveaboards tend to be either the Similans or Phi Phi/ Hing Daeng. The diving is very different in these 2 locations.

Here are a couple of videos showing the differing nature of the sites in these 2 spots. It was put together by PJ Widestrand, a well-known videographer in the area.

I would be interested to hear if people on the forum think these paint an accurate picture of the differences between the 2 locations:

Nice videos but can't really say they show any difference between the sites.

To be honest I couldn't really see much difference between the two.
Both VDO's show lots of the same creatures.

I think the real main difference is above water scenery and the color of the water.

And I think the rabbit-ear nudi footage should be much-much longer....
