Was due to fly Thailand for this dive trip but airline has gone bust and alternative flights are way too expensive at such short notice.

We have a non refundable trip booked for 2 people (twin cabin) leaving Phuket / Khao Lak on 30th December for 4 nights.

Are you sure they won't give you a refund? Their web site shows a waiting list for that trip.
