Not only did one of the main caverns get collapsed about a year ago - a container ship grounded and tore up the reef - but if they've started construction of the new cruise pier - the fear is the dredging is going silt over the area - even as far as Sunset House.

Should be starting to see them about now though. There's also another site on the East End where they show up

When I was there in June there was no work on the cruise pier. Definitely contact Eden Rock for up-to-date information.

No Silver sides yet

No indication of any construction on the "new' cruise ship pier.......who said it started?

When it comes to projects like this and Cayman, I find that very little is in fact inevitable! Soon come!

First - small amounts of Silver sides have been seen according to Eden rock also there was a large school of Tarpon 40-50 fish plus large school of Horse Eyed jacks stacked up around the caverns/swim throughs much more than normal for that area which makes me think they know something we don't also saw large school of squid

As for the cruise ship pier the Cayman Government works at the speed of molasses in the winter

Saw schools of Silver sides at Cobalt Coast today they were congregating under the dock maybe it is about to happen.

Not a good picture but proof they are there...:)
