I've seen a few posts with people complaining about newbies kicking up all the crap on the bottom. Well at least we have an excuse. We're newbies! and we suck at controlling our buoyancy (although I've been getting better lately) I'm sure most of you did the same thing when you were newbies too.

Anyway we were diving last week and crossed the path of these two older guys who've probably been diving since before I was born. Perfect trim and buoyancy. Definitely not newbies. They were kicking up more crap than me and my (newbie) buddy have on every dive we've done so far. We actually had to stop for a minute, because th cloud was so big!

If it wasn't for the scuba gear I might have mistaken him for this guy!

and the sad part is the cloud of silt following these 2 guys was actually much bigger than that.

Dumb asses. Now I know what you're all complaining about, just realize that it's morons, not necessarily newbies!

Dang! I knew I had to practice more of my frog kicks...just kidding. Where were you guys diving out of? I just noticed you're from NJ

Dive safe,

Out in Dutch Springs in PA.

We've been going there a lot lately. Not ready for Atlantic diving yet. We both want to get a few more dives under our belt yet. Maybe the end of this season or early next we'll go for AOW and our fist NJ ocean dive.

Oh and by the way this weekend, some guy had his face planted so deep into his guages that him almost swam right into me. Duh!

I'm like a magnet fo idiots.

Same here....just took nitrox but need to take AOW soon I hope...need more dives under my belt. Did you guys dive wet or dry (wetsuit or drysuit)? How was the temp in Dutch Springs??

Dive safe,
Dan

It's pretty warm in a full 7mm, until you hit the thermocline, but even then it's not too bad.

Unless you're like my buddy, who's been known to drive home from LBI in themmiddle of August with the heat on!

Getting a heavier pair of gloves is on my list though.

Nitrox is on my list too. I might do that before AOW. Haven't made up my mind yet.

Bah, it was beautiful in DS last week , Ive been up there every weekend for last month and a half and finally got a good one this past one. Surface temp was finally in 60's and as 50's below till you hit the 50' thermocline and it gets mighty chilly ;)
