I know this is a diving board, but who knows about Siargao and surfing?

I want to go, don't know how to surf but don't care, might try and learn. Want to meet people, enjoy the place and chill out with some cool folks.

Don't want to go there and be stuck in a hotel room by myself! Where do people stay, meet, chat etc?

Cloud 9 is located in Gen. Luna. but don't go there when you want to try surfing for the first time. check out Lanuza for beginner waves. they say it's like california waves... long, shallow, sandy bottom.

i've been wanting to go there, my brother has been inviting me to come over.

matt- i also wanna try to learn how to surf as well... but never seem to find a time and group of people to do it with!

if you and whoever else can sched it after may 1, i might be able to come...! can't do it before then, i will be overseas starting two weeks from now.
