I have the OMS pads. there very nice for skin diving, In mexico were I was doing skin diving with just the harness it cut into my shoulders so I put the pads on for the next dive and it was like wearing a drysuit over the harness. I also have the back pad. Very nice. the back pad hooks on with sexbolts and the sholder pads come apart with velcro so you will not have to take apart your haness

zach5150,

I too don't need a padded harness but I've got a pair from ebay some time ago and if you want $10 + shipping and they are yours.

SangP

I agree. It is from H.K. Another good deal on eBay ;)

hmmmm.....point taken :) hehe...

Thanks for all your input everybody. I guess I'll go without them. My rig isn't really all that uncomfortable without them. (even though I do have a long haul to get in the water at the lake), but I just thought they might add a little bit of comfort. Sounds like the Negatives outweigh the minor bit of cushioning.

Thanks for helping me save a few bucks!

What lake would that be "in the middle of Texas"? Travis? And shouldn't that be "deep in the heart of Texas?" ;)

yup...you've found me! Lake Travis......I live just outside Austin in Round Rock, deep in the heart of texas :) are you around here too?

Not that far away from you, outskirts of Austin on 183.

So where's the long haul? Windy Point?

Man, you weren't kidding about the wimp. :D

Maybe we can get together some time and flaunt our DSSs down at the lake.

It's a long way to walk in full gear all the way from my house in Round Rock, all the way to Windy Point, then down the stair! hehe....it's like 30 miles :mooner: haha....

I'm definitely up for that! Are you over on the Swamp Divers forum too?
