GET THOSE FLU VACCINATIONS!

Incredibly bad luck struck us when we were on the island. 2nd day of our stay my father was hit with an itchy throat, fever and a major cough. 3 Days later he was healthy and I was having the same symptoms. Together, we effectively covered both halves of our vacation and only got 3 dives in, total

On a lighter note, GRI, Liz, Ed and the staff are great as always- the food on the island was excellent and we had a great time exploring the land based areas.


Being on Bonaire and not being able to dive.. that is HELL!

Argh, that just stinks for you guys!! Guess you have an excellent excuse to go back SOON! Glad to know you're better now and that you made the most of your vacation anyway.

I feel for you. My family and I were in Bonaire over Christmas and had to deal with a nasty stomach bug. Thankfully, my kids didn't get sick, but my husband and I had it. I only got 6 dives in and just felt out of sorts for the whole trip.
