Hello everyone, going to Provo in April, big dive group, is there any shore diving there. Staying atComfort suites. Thanks

I believe there is only one spot you can shore dive on Provo on the far NW point. I think it's called Tiki Huts & you need a 4WD to get there.

I think that you are referring to Malcolm Roads which is located just south of Northwest point on the western side of the island. It is the best beach on the island it just takes some doing to get there. The road is four wheel drive only mainly becuase there is a nasty hill about a half mile from the beach which is a serious challenge coming back up. That being said the wall is a quarter mile or so off shore and doable as a shore dive. It drops over a mile straight to the bottom and the area is known for lots of sharks and rays. I have never done it as a shore dive or seen anyone there diving but it is definitely something I have considered. Some of the ops do their surface interval off the beach. You will have to find an op that is willing to rent tanks but that can't be too much of a problem just check ahead of time. In any event don't miss a trip to this beach as it is truly awesome. If you go early in the day you should have it to yourself for the morning.

Tim - yes, that's it. I once flew back to Miami from San Juan on a really clear day right over T&C & I could see all the dive spots etc. on Grand Turk, Salt Cay, S. Caicos & over Provo you could see the spot you're talking about with the wall coming in close.
