I am on the Serenade of the Seas ship that cruises the Antilles. I make several stops a week and also love to dive. I am hoping to maybe find some dive buddies along the way (spending $80-100 4-5 days a week is starting to wear on my bidget :)). I have done some great shore diving with friends at St. Croix and Curacao but my diving buddy signed off this past weekend :(

Anyway, I will be in Curacao tomorrow (tuesday), Aruba (wed) Dominica (Thur) and St Thomas (Fri). That schedule pretty much repeats every two weeks for the summer.

Let me know if you would be ok with me joining your dive group or I am always up for meeting new people. I am certified and have about 50 dives under my belt.

Thanks for any info that is provided. I am new to this sight but love it so far!!!

Ciao :D

Contact Blue Island Divers when in St Thomas. They'll even arrange to pick you up from the cruise ship dock with their dive boat. Great dive sites, short boat rides, and wonderful staff. They may even offer special rates for crew members. You'll have to double check that.

St. Thomas scuba diving

I dove a shore dive with a buddy today at Scuba Bus in Curacao. AMAZING! They have a little lagoon that breaks the waves (super windy today) and lets you get underwater without getting beat up by the surf. We dove to about 80ft, saw Barracuda, flouder, a ton of Lionfish :( and tons of other great stuff!

Thanks for the info about St. Thomas, thats actually the one place I have researched and yes they do 2 boat dives for $60 (sweet deal). I will be in Barbados next week. Anyone feel like meeting up for a dive there? I have researched the shops there and they are sooooo expensive! I would really like to dive there though, I have been twice to the Boat Yard and have lots of fun swimming, but the urge to check out the underwater life there is pretty strong

Thanks for the info already!

You are right, that is a nice house reef right in front of the Scuba Bus on Curacao! There are also a number of very good dive sites along the northern part of the island.

Good luck, alashas http://honeymoon2.smugmug.com/
