I have seen a little info here and there of people using the hotshoe mount on top of a dslr housing to mount a go pro.

Has anyone been successful doing this? I'm thinking about mounting a Hero 4 Black over a Nikon D90 with dual Ikelite D51s. Also planning to use a Ikelite Vega for a video light and the back scatter flip red filter.

Would this work?
Any concerns?
Does the constant flashing not washout the video?

Planning to use this setup in the Roatan in January.

Awesome video. I guess I was assuming the flashes going off only a couple of feet from the video camera would be more distributive in the video.
