I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this download software. I own the computer and have approximately 50 dives with it. "m very happy with it and was thinking about purchasing the software if it was good. Thanx.

Depends on your definition of good. It installs easily and runs well on my Win XP system. The download process is also very straight forward and reliable and the log functions are fine.

But it really is not substantially better than the software that came with my Matrix Master 5 years ago.

I would have preferred to see an average depth feature as well as a more continuous logging of tank pressure. At present it displays start and end pressure only.

It does show a graph of the dive but does not give an average depth even though this would have taken relatively few lines of code to add.

So in short it is "good" but not what I would call "great". It's nothing a firmware and software upgrade couldn't fix, but I'm not holding my breath.

While I couldn't be more pleased with the performance of the Wisdom computer, I cannot say the same thing for the performance of the software. It lacks information that I think is critical (e.g., average depth) and I have had trouble installing the software under NT4.0. I was able to install the software under Win98 without any trouble. The user interface is not exactly up to par with the user interface of the Wisdom. In my opinion, Sherwood hired some third world company to program the software. I have emailed Sherwood and even called and left a mesage with the local Rep., but I have not gotten a reply. Bottom line, is that I think I wasted a lot money. :spaninq:
