To big and bulky. Very rarely does anyone need 75# of lift. Will Taco like crazy.

Try a Diverite Transpac II, or anything that is not so big and bulky.

What does taco mean?

If you want a jacket style back inflate, you can't go wrong with a Zeagle Ranger.

You can buy a used one on eBay for $200-$300
They are bullet proof
You can sell it on eBay for $200-$300 when you are done with it

First of all the outback only has 55lbs. of lift, so its not that crazy. But taco means that the wing on the back will wrap around the tank when partially inflated, much like a taco wraps around the filling. Thus the name taco. not too much of a problem with the outback
i would agree though. For the same price or very little more, you can get the zeagle ranger which will have you hooked the first time you try it on. It has 44lbs. of lift and the zeagle ripcord weight integration. Nothing beats the zeagle in comfort.

I have tried them all and the best is the backplate and wing.

simple, steamlined and can be made to order-exactly fitting you for the price of a high end BC.

it's so simple and so right.

same here. exactly right. the only other thing i have to add is the undescribable stability they offer

The Outback has 60 lbs. of lift.

Beyond that, all else here is personal preference. I've tried the other Mfg's units and like some and don't like others. All in all it depends upon what you plan on doing with the bcd.

No matter what you choose, enjoy!!!!

Most people I talk to prefer the comfort of the zeagle or BP & W for the little extra it costs them. i guess sherwood upgraded the bladder from the older 55's
