Does it have an environmentally sealed first stage?
Is the first stage balanced?
Is the second stage balanced?
How does it breaths vs. Aqualung Titan LX, Scubapro G250V, Oceanic Delta 4, or Atomic Z2?
Speaking of service availability in US and in the Caribbean are the other brands mentioned above more widespread?

Any advise will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The 1st stage is environmentally sealed and is "sorta" balanced.....good cold water performance but very average breathing performance.
2nd stage is not balanced.
The breathing performance.....not in the same league as the regs you have mentioned.
It probably beats the other regs in the servicing department, especially around the Caribbean.

Maximus=very reliable, easy to service, and IMO very overpriced.
