i just got a sherwood logic computer with a reg set I bought . the computer turns on but just scrolls through previous dives on its own . the button does nothing ? Is this computer worth sending in for repair? It was free ..

Scrolling through the log, or through the menus? Menus sounds like normal behavior. (P15 of manual). http://o-gouy.fr/Telechargement/Sherwood/LOGIC.pdf

If it is really not working, there is very little chance of any support even being available. It is almost 20 years old.
 
stuck button? try soaking it and working the buttons.
