Sherwood Avid

Been looking into a couple BC's and the Sherwood Avid is on top of the list right now. Anybody dive with it, and if so good/bad?

I have one, its pretty good if you are looking for a non back inflation bc. the inflator was recalled so be sure that has been changed before you buy. I have only used it a little since I bought it but I am pleased with it.

It's our top selling for wrap around BCs. Very sturdy, nice features, and lots of attachment points. If you want jacket style - I'd say you picked a good one.

I'm thinking about the sq pro qd or the avid, do the new avids have the recall also?

If your sold on a jacket then go with SQ ProQD+. Higher quality gear over the Avid or Genesis. Tried all three and no comparo IMO. No longer dive it but when I did it was a good rig for rec. diving.

The recall thing was a limited number of power inflator ends... They instantly contacted us and swapped out inflators - so if you get it from an authorized dealer, I'm sure it will be no problem.

What are the different styles? ...and if you don't mind can you give a quick description on each?
