Anyone here know Sherwood 5000 valves? So I'm moving tanks out of the car after a long bumpy ride, when a bunch of metal valve parts fall out of one the valves. Made me nervous for a second, since the tanks are full (AL80s @ 3000 psi). I think all that fell out was the retaining screw and spring for the rubber handle, and that I'm not missing any other parts (particularly anything potentially hazardous), but I thought I'd ask around to make sure, before tightening the screw and driving the thing back to the LDS for a look-see. Tried searching old SB posts and Sherwood's website, but the only picture they have is a fairly low-res artistic view, rather than any sort of assembly drawing or parts list.

Thanks.

Happens often with classes. Just put it back together, no big deal.

Put a little dab of blue loctite on the threads of the screw before you put it back together. It won't come apart again until you take it apart.

Nothing to worry about. You may have to "alter" a screwdriver to put a notch in it to get it back together but no danger involved.
