Has anybody been to Sherkston quarry lately or have any info on what to expect in the way of vis at this time of year?

Thanks
Al

Usually by now the "grass" is long, and the vis is poor, but it's been 2 months since i've been there.

(I HATE shore diving)

I've been there with students....... 2 weeks ago vis was 5-10'

On our last trip there, we found a truck that we didn't know about :)

.........just when I thought there wasn't anything else to see in there ;)

That "poor" vis is great practice!!

Hello

That place is a dump, kind of reminds me of the Trailer Park Boys. Why dive it when you have hundreds of clear clean lakes all around Ontario.

Student training, gear testing............And I'd appreciate if you'd not call my (almost) backyard a dump.......

At least allow me to first!!!!

Yup, she's dumpy :D

But your backyard is 4-5 hours away!, Lake Erie is a write-off and Toby blows........

Regards.

Hi

OK! I won't call it a dump but perhaps and ecoli breeding pit is more the right terminology to be used in describing that place.

For Deep Scuba Ive never had a chance to dive Lake Erie yet but was planning to perhaps next summer. You mentioned that Erie is a write off why? Too Rough? Low Vis?

There's a 70% chance every trip you plan to make will be scratched by poor weather/wind/waves,...stinkin' lake anyways.

It's too bad, because when you DO finally get out, it's usually warm, and almost all the diving is done between 80-100ft, with decent vis.

(Long point can be/is deeper)
