Hi Guys,
the purpose of this thread is to gain a better understanding of global shark populations. Fishing and finning sharks has dramatically reduced their numbers worlwide and, indeed, wiped them out in some areas.
Removal of the apex predator from any ecosystem is disastrous.
What are we doing?
Well Global Shark Survey in conjunction with Project Aware are conducting a survey with which they can try to implement changes and, hopefully, make our oceans more like they ought to be.
The survey is online and takes 5 minutes Global Shark Assessment
PLEASE HELP. It needs all divers, whether you have seen thousands or none at all and all ages, even if you no longer dive (for example: there WERE sharks in Jamaica years ago and now there are not). Any info you can provide is essential.
