Great White previously held in Monteray Aquarium that was tagged and tracked after release has been killed by Fishermen in Mexico.

MONTEREY, Calif. -- The Monterey Bay Aquarium said Tuesday a great white shark it returned to the wild six months ago has died in a fisherman's net off Ensenada, Mexico.
The aquarium captured the shark and put it on exhibit for 69 days last autumn. It was one of the lengthiest periods scientists have successfully kept a great white in captivity.
Biologists fit the shark with two electronic tracking tags and tracked it as it swam 500 miles south to Baja California. They said the shark's death highlights the threats the species faces as it hunts for food.
