Sure would hate for the reporter or producer to have to waste their time finding pics of a nurse shark to add some credibility to their report.............

The mean, killer, vicious, man-eating shark didn't even manage to break the kid's skin.

The report also neglected to mention that he was fishing in the ocean using live bait and the reason the shark attacked him was because the shark was all wrapped up in the kid's fishing line and cornered by a pier piling.

This really has nothing to do with scuba. I am so glad the kid and grandma are both OK and the kid seems to take it in stride. Now I guess all the macho yahoos will set to sea to kill more vicious nurse sharks. N

Instead of a shark attack, let's call it: "Shark Defends Self Against Sadistic Fisherman!!" This would be a great reality show.

Good one! In most attacks on people fishing in waist deep water, the shark has gone for the area of the bait. As usual, the shark gets more bad press. :lotsalove: The kid was lucky it was only a nurse shark. People don't think, but in this day and age, no one is responsible for themselves either. I hope we don't see a mass slaughter of sharks over this!

Happy Diving with my Sharkies!

Heck, people pay good money to get a hickey like that out at Stingray city. I would be embrassed to call that a shark attack. Maybe it's nurse shark mating season and he should be a little flattered.

Look, the only hickies I want are from my w***!

2psi says this gets censored.

Seriously, though, humans, including divers, MUST learn that sharks are not our friends when we invade their world.

agreed nimrod...

That is a Darwin Award waiting to happen... I agree, I would like to know the real story, what was the kid doing to the nurse shark to provoke him like that.... other than feeding/baiting/fishing/harrassing him.
