For those of you with a fast internet connection there are lots of videos out there showing how to do this however if its as slow as mine this may prove useful.

Setting your Avatar (This is the image other users will see when you post a message on a thread and can be the same as your Profile picture as you will see below).

There are three options for this.

1. Use your profile picture.

2. Create a custom avatar ( this can be any picture of your choosing ) and within this option there are a further two options;

2a. Enter the URL (universal resource locator ) to the image on another website this is the full website address of the picture as found in the search bar at the top of the screen for example: 'http://www.scubaboard.com/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/177824/title/me-with-nurse-shark/cat/500' will link to my profile picture as found in the scubaboard gallery.

2b. Upload image from your computer, here you can choose 'browse' and select an image saved on your computer.

3. Pre defined categories, these can be from Fishes, Cartoon animals, National Flags, USA State Flags, Holidays, NFL or Miscellaneous.

Hope this proves useful to the very small group of users who have a slow internet connection and cant view the available videos and to those of you new to internet forums.
