Hello all,
We at the Coral Reef Alliance are starting to plan our 2015 calendar, which will go out to all of our $50+ donors at the end of the year. This publication typically includes a number of photos from our members, but some are also sourced from talented photographers we find on forums such as this one. Our pool of submissions typically determines the theme and informs the design of the calendar. No strict rules on content at this point: reef landscape shots, corals, fish, and other reef species are all acceptable subject matter.
We ask that you please specify the location and identify any species you can in photos submitted. Also, if you would like to allow us to use your work in other publications, such as our website, please let us know. We'll circulate a release form to anyone whose work we decide to use. We always credit any photo used from a source outside our staff.
Please submit no more than image photos or a link to your portfolio to jclerici@coral.org if you're interested in participating. We currently operate projects in Honduras, Mexico, Fiji, Indonesia, Hawaii, and Palmyra Atoll, so we may lean more heavily toward using images from those locations if we receive enough submissions from them. Horizontal images are preferred, otherwise we will need to crop significantly to match the dimensions of the layout.
For those unfamiliar, the Coral Reef Alliance (CORAL) is a California-based nonprofit organization that works internationally with local communities, industry, governments, and other partners to protect coral reefs. You can learn more about our work at www.coral.org. Thanks!
