Hi, I am using a Olympus 550 with PT-037 housing. My strobe is an Inon D2000s. I now need a second strobe to fill-in lighting. I have been look at the the new small Inon.

Can anyone recommend another strobe that would work well with my Inon? I use the S-TTL setting and get great results and would like to stay with this setting.

Thanks

You should be able ot use either another Inon D2000 or the S2000. You might be able to use a cheap Intova as well.

thanks, I was looking at the S2000 but was hoping for something a little less expensive. I'll look at the Intova

If all you want is fill, I would think a cheaper strobe would fit the bill. A friend has an Intova camera and strobe, and I've been impressed with it so far (saying a lot from a Canonite and Inon Cult Member)

Thanks, I just wanted to make sure that the cheaper strobe would fire with my Inon. I will be using a optical cord so I guess it wouldn't matter. If it doesn't have STTL I guess I would just have to figure which setting to use on my own. I love to keep things simple - getting a fish to pose is hard enough, ha ha.

Thanks for all the help.

If you were prepared to go manual then there is a fill flash, I think it is supplied by Fantasea and it is about the size of a small torch and all it does is trigger off a master stobe. Nothing smart about it. I read about it here or on Wetpixel but it is cheap and works well.
