Is the dive pier that was at Seaview Hotel in Grand Cayman still there? Is there a dive shop? I can't locate any information about this, but know the hotel never rebuilt. Is it still possible to rent tanks and dive from shore there? If so, would you know the name of the dive shop?

Thanks.

Suzi

They have built condos where the Seaview Hotel used to be so there is no access for shorediving anymore. Your best bet for diving that area is to get in at Don Fosters. It is a short swim (or dive!) to the Seaview reef from there.

I would guess the Seaview reef does not get much diving from persons in the
condo residences - so the reef might be in real good shape.

It is in average shape. As CJ said, it is easy enough to dive it from Don Foster's or, for that matter, from Eden Rock. Try a 1-way dive from Eden Rock to Don Foster's for something a little different.
