My husband and I both just bought Seasoft Pro BC's. I'm 5'6" and 250 lbs and losing more wieght all the time. He's 6' and about 225. The same BC fits us both perfectly! It is infinitely adjustable. Since I lost about 50 lbs in the last 8 months and am continuing to lose more, I wanted a BC that would fit me no matter what size I am. This BC adjusts from size XS to XL. Torso length is adjustable too. Has two nice metal tank buckles and comes with a nice flashlight in a pocket on a retractor. The back has a very thick foamed pad that makes it very comfortable to wear with a tank strapped on. Also comes with a nice retractor for your console. BC works great. Neither of us has had any problems diving at altitude at the Blue Hole in Santa Rosa, NM down to 84'.

This is my first post. Hi to the community! We're going on a Western Carribean cruise on Sept 16 from Tampa on the Carnival Legend. It will be my first ocean dive! (Hubby has already done several) I just certified in April and did Advanced Open Water in July.

The Seasoft is a good BC but a little pricey IMO. For that amount of $$$ you can get a damned good BP/W set-up and have money to spare.


One thing I will say, and probably get bashed for it; you seriously should think about losing a heck of a lot of weight before you do much more diving. At your age and weight the chances of something serious occurring on a dive trip are escalated considerably. Scuba is a fairly active sport and I can't imagine you can possibly be anywhere near fit enough at that weight.

Its great you have already lost weight but for your own safety please keep plugging away with your diet and fitness.
