The Search for Kennedy's PT-109; Combat Cameramen
120 min.
The WWII exploits of John F. Kennedy are recounted in an episode that chronicles explorer Robert Ballard's fascinating search for the remains of the legendary PT-109.
Known for discovering the Titanic, Ballard visits the Solomon Islands to probe the South Pacific waters where the torpedo boat---commanded by the future president---was sunk by a Japanese destroyer in 1943. Among those recalling JFK's efforts to lead surviving crew members to safety are his brother Sen. Edward Kennedy, historian Dale Ridder and former PT skipper Dick Keresey. Also, two islanders who aided in the rescue are interviewed by Max Kennedy, JFK's nephew. In another segment, WWII cameramen are spotlighted.

Check your local listings, it airs in the Boston area Sunday November 24th, 8PM and 11PM.
