I have been trying to do a search on some dive lights tonight to see what others say about them but I'm not allowed to do the search because I'm trying to search for 2 or 3 letter words. Makes it impossible to find what I'm searching for. What's the deal with that?

The database was indexed only to four letters for the search feature.

However, the admins of this site are adding certain common two or three letter words to the index. What words were you searching on???

You can also try to add a * to the three letter word...

TechAdmin recently reindexed the site with a list of requested 2/3 letter words, but apparently the database takes forever to index, so not all combinations can be catered for.

You can also try a Google search, eg:

DUI site:www.scubaboard.com

returns all pages with the word DUI in the page.

I'd like to second this complaint. I see how 2-letter words would create a very large index, but would it be possible to re-enable 3-letter words.

I recently tried to search for: "dui, dry, tls, clx, 350, 450" and it didn't like me. :(

Use the wild card character at the end of the 3 letter term which is "*"

For example, a search for -----> dry*

Gives me over 500 matches in the SB database
