Anyone here know what the velcro loop closure is for inside the retractor side pocket? I thought it was something for the retractor but I can't figure out what?

Also, does anyone else wish they would use the standard clips on the supplied retractor? I can't find any accessories that use the odd clip they provide. I may just replace it with a normal retractor.

The velcro loop is what keeps the retractor in place inside the pocket. Not sure what you mean by 'odd clip.' Mine has a pretty standard retractor clip.

This would be a standard clip to me:

My BC has one of these:

Funny about the velcro b/c mine has no way to secure the retractor. I could see if my retractor had loop slots and the velcro fit thru them but mine doesn't. If i was to try and secure the retractor with the velcro it would just slide forward.

i can't post a url to show the pic.

The velcro loop wraps around the retractor vertically, preventing it from moving up in the BC pocket. It really can't move side to side at all due to the clip which remains outside the pocket.
