I recently purchased a used Seaquest BC from ebay to use with an old Scubapro Air 2. Much to my surprise the Seaquest uses a 3/4" BC hose, Air 2 uses a 1" hose. My old Seaquest (vintage 1983) used a 1" hose so I assumed that all were the same. I heard that Oceanic used to make an 3/4" to 1" adaptor to use an Air 2 with an Oceanic (which has the same size hose as a Seaquest). Can't find this Oceanic hose anywhere. I was going to purchase a regular 1" rubber corrugated hose and just jam it to the BC with plastic ties (and get some scrap plastic to make up the extra space). Has anyone figured out a better solution? Thanks in advance.

Does the oceanic air XS fit this hose in case I have to buy new?

I have an old SQ BCD with an air2. The corrugated hose is 3/4" on one end and 1" on the other so someone makes them. You might be stuck with going through an AL/SQ dealer.

Did you realize SQ was purchased by AL a few years ago? One rule of thumb for eBay purchases is to know what you are buying, not assume you know.

If you are already considering buying a new low pressure alternate, why not check out the gear from the manufacturer of the BC?

Yes but. They are slightly different, but you can make them work. The current Aqualung uses a 1" end, too so maybe there are parts to make things fit.
