Sealife or Canon?

Hello,
I'll start by saying thank you in advance.
I am looking at the sealife Sc600 and the Canon powershot SD800 with housing.
I like the canon it is a 7.1 also has uderwater mode.
Looking for your thoughts. this will be my first underwater camers. until i can have extra money for a SLR housing.

From what I've seen the 710 is a nice camera

The 710 probably is a nice camera, but only in an Ikelite housing. The Canon housing has the funny port. It won't accept any lenses.
