I received my brand new seascooter X model = $750 for Christmas.
Followed owners manual checked o-rings seated, charged battery and went out to dive.
Had a wonderful 10 minutes before the scooter cut off underwater at 30 feet deep. Took it out and opened up battery compartment to find around 4 tablespoons of water in the battery compartment.
Took apart, inspected o-ring seals, re-lubricated and put in my pool 4 feet deep to identify the source of the leak.
The source is the white top o-ring for the nose cone, and the 2 red o-rings on the body to seal the base of the nose cone. It showed minor leaks from both critical o-ring seals. Almost like the o-rings were just a little to small in depth to seal completely.
I must not be the only one with this problem on a brand new model that was not cheap and I expected to have many years of fun underwater.
Any idea's how to fix these small but unsatisfactory leaks?
