Anyone here have experience with the Seacam rig for the MK2 SLRS? I am in the process of finding one locally to "get a feel" for, before putting down 10k on a rig.

Any information of known place or user(s) would be great.

TIA

I had the chance to hold one and play with it at DEMA in October. Its a nice rig...although I think Id be more interested in the Subal housing...

Turbo...unless you can find someone that owns one...there is no place to go look at them. Seacam USA/Stephen Frink have the sole distribution rights in the US...so none of us retailers are able to get them in.

Eric Cheng uses them. His photos are amazing. www.echeng.com

As far as Seacam vs Subal, it's like Mercedes vs BMW. For many people the decision is based on if they already own ports & gears for one of the housings. Seacam's housings are beautiful and their viewfinders are great.

Underwater PhotoTech used to sell Seacam. I think they were a sub-distributor through Stephen Frink. I'm not sure if they still do.

SO I have read. Right now I am looking at the Subal system, a little cheaper and more dealers. However they don't have housing for the 580ex. :(
