I hear Seac Sub has been going in Europe for some time. It is beginning to show up on the west coast and other areas of the states. Would those of you with experience with this manufacturer please share your opinions about them (pro and con)?

The instructor I DM for has one of their BCDs, and I wear one of their drysuits, this one precisely: http://www.seacsub.it/scheda_prodotto.asp?ID=80

I havent' worn one of their BCDs myself, so all I can give you is second hand info, but I love the drysuit, it is really streamlined and not at all bulky. I read the PADI drysuit manual before trying it out, then when I went to try it out I didnt' understand what they were talking about.... squeezing the excess air out? What excess air? Bulkier? Not much! Then I saw up close someone diving in a shell suit.... it looked like a much harder proposition.

Anyone, not to sidetrack your thread, BCDs. I think this is the one my instructor wears: http://www.seacsub.it/scheda_prodotto.asp?ID=73 and he really likes it, it seems to be really well made, it takes the punishment of every weekend teaching plus lots of time in the pool really well. The specific comments I have heard him make are that it is really comfortable and has lots of lift (lift being perhaps an issue more when teaching but....), some 70 lbs.... I know most of us don't need anything near that, but it is way cool! Also has mentioned the weight system is nice.... now if he would only stop filling it with all the lead he needs for wearing his drysuit and making his DM carry his gear bin life would be good.....

I also particularly like the kangaroo pouch to hold antifog :10:

Thats all I know...... which ain't much.

Been diving with their 2000pro modell for one year and about 50 dives. Most of them in the arctic ocean in various conditions. So far no problems, no malfunctions. no weariness. Quite happy about it!
